Promotion Policy

This Promotion Policy explains how Spotlight Boosts work, what they do and do not promise, and how Codartt may review, limit, or remove promoted placements.

What Spotlight Boosts Are

Codartt sells Spotlight Boosts as optional promoted visibility for eligible, approved showcase posts. The purchaser pays Codartt directly for this platform service.

Codartt does not collect or hold funds for creators and does not make creator or third-party payouts. Codartt does not sell, broker, license, commission, or arrange the sale of creator work.

Codartt is not a marketplace, escrow provider, hiring platform, or contract platform. A Spotlight Boost does not create a user-to-user payment, creator balance, payout, proposal, contract, invoice, message, or contact workflow.

Clear Labeling

Promoted posts are labeled so users can understand when a post is receiving paid promotional placement. A label may appear as "Spotlight · Promoted" or similar wording.

Codartt may adjust the exact label, visual treatment, or placement design as long as promoted posts remain identifiable as promoted content.

No Guaranteed Results

Spotlight Boosts increase visibility opportunities but do not guarantee views, unique viewers, likes, saves, engagement, followers, profile visits, post opens, ranking, contacts, revenue, employment, commissions, or any commercial outcome.

A boost does not guarantee placement in every feed view, a fixed number of impressions, a fixed position, or continued visibility if the post or account becomes ineligible.

Eligibility

Only eligible, approved, published showcase posts may be boosted. Draft, pending-review, denied, archived, deleted, unavailable, or otherwise ineligible posts cannot be boosted.

A post or account may become ineligible before or during a boost. Posts or users that violate Codartt rules, become unavailable, or create platform risk may be rejected, paused, ended, removed from promotion, or otherwise restricted.

Moderation and Safety

Spotlight Boosts do not bypass admin review, moderation, safety rules, visibility rules, public-safety filters, or editorial controls.

Codartt may reject, pause, end, remove, demote, or otherwise restrict a boost if the post, account, payment, activity, or surrounding context violates platform rules, appears prohibited, stolen, misleading, unsafe, infringing, fraudulent, or manipulated, or becomes ineligible.

Paying for a boost does not protect a post or account from moderation and does not limit the ability of Codartt to enforce the Terms, Community Guidelines, or other platform rules.

Feed Behavior

For the current Spotlight Boost MVP, promoted placement is limited to eligible Discover feeds. Placement, frequency, and visibility may vary based on active boosts, feed availability, safety filters, category filters, viewer context, system rules, and platform operation.

Boosts are not guaranteed to appear in every Discover feed view and may not appear when there is not enough eligible feed space, when filters apply, when safety checks fail, or when system rules reduce promoted placement.

Analytics

Promoted impressions count how many times a boost was served in Discover. They are not a count of unique viewers and should not be treated as guaranteed reach.

Post opens and clicks are aggregate metrics. A genuine post-detail reopen or refresh may count again, while feed rendering, hover, and prefetch do not count as a post-detail open. Aggregate metrics may also be affected by repeated human activity, browser behavior, automated traffic controls, and other technical factors.

Spotlight Boost analytics are intended as directional platform metrics, not audited advertising measurements.

Payments and Processors

When Spotlight Boost checkout is enabled, payments will be processed securely by PayPal. Payment processing may be subject to PayPal's terms, privacy notices, risk checks, security requirements, and payment-method rules.

Payment information is handled by PayPal. Codartt does not store full card or PayPal account credentials.

Refunds and Cancellations

Refunds and cancellations are governed by the Codartt Refund Policy, binding provider outcomes, and applicable law. No refund is automatic. Codartt supports only an exact full refund of a selected completed capture and does not offer partial or prorated refunds.

If a boost is rejected, paused, ended, removed, cancelled, or otherwise restricted, refund eligibility depends on the cause, timing, service actually delivered, payment and dispute state, eligibility and moderation history, binding provider requirements, and applicable law.

Once activated, the historical service window is not rewritten. A refund, reversal, dispute, moderation action, or interruption does not automatically restart, extend, or replace a Spotlight Boost.

Codartt does not promise broad refunds for low engagement, changed expectations, ordinary feed variation, or outcomes that were never guaranteed.

Abuse, Fraud, and Manipulation

Codartt may cancel, reject, pause, end, remove, or restrict promotions in cases of suspected abuse, fraud, payment issues, chargebacks, policy violations, copied or stolen work, manipulation, spam, unsafe behavior, misleading activity, or attempts to evade moderation.

Codartt may preserve promotion, payment-status, moderation, and support records where needed for platform safety, fraud prevention, dispute handling, legal compliance, and auditability.
